UCAN Shockproof Contactors

The UCAN range of contactors has been specifically designed for use in Naval Applications and is capable of withstanding a shock of 12g on a solid mount. These contactors are in extensive use throughout the British Royal Navy surface fleet and with other foreign navies.

The contactors form the basis of the standard range of naval starters as set out in BR 4540 (601) & BR 4540 (602) and comply fully with the requirements of Def Stan 02-636 (formerly NES 636). Three sizes are available covering currents up to 210A - see Selection Guide.

The contactors are available in two standard AC voltages and are provided with two Normally Open and two Normally Closed auxiliary contacts. Alternative auxiliary arrangements can also be purchased.

The range can also be provided in mechanically interlocked pairs, known as UCAND.
